[NEWS] New "Real" Ghostbusters toys coming out!

Thanks to nerdsphere forum member "JiiDee" we have a scoop for you Ghostbusters fans - The Real Ghostbusters are coming back!

Well, they are and they aren't. These toys, dubbed "Ghostbusters Retro Action", so far shows off a ghostly Peter Venkman from the episode "Citizen Ghost" (a episode review of which was done by the BTT80's boys HERE).

Here is what MattyCollector.com had to say on their Facebook page:

"Retro Action is coming to the Ghostbusters with this “Citizen Ghost” Peter figure from the animated series “The Real Ghostbusters”! Peter talks with 3 phrases right from the show. Also includes proton pack and wand. Special variant for SDCC is an all Ecto Slime version of Peter with clear green skin. This variant is randomly packed and available only at the show! While supplies last".

Something tells me that "The Rod" is going to be more than a little happy about this news ;)

[RETRO REVIEW] Ladybird Books!

Nope, not a featured audio book this week (Was planning a MOTU one, but alas that didn't come to pass), but instead this weekend's "Retro Review" features not one, but two vids showcasing books from the Ladybird era:

First, Nerdsphere forum member "The Doctor / Stardub" gives us a viewing of Ladybird's rare "Action Frieze" Transformers pull out poster book:

Then, we present to you an early review (About a year old now, to be precise!) from our very own "Dreadwind" (Site Admin / BTT80's host), where he shows and talks us through the "Listen and Read" bookrange:

Enjoy!

[PODCAST] Dude Wait What Podcast Episode 16 - Shut Up

Yeah, we started with a really sporadic show and ended up ragging on reviewers we didn't like. Something we don't often do, but I think we got enough out of our system this one episode to last our entire podcasting run. So just shut up and let us do our thing.

This week we keep mum about-
  • What we been playing, Touya's PS1 extravaganza
  • Pokemon: Good Luck With That
  • Godzilla vs. Cthulu
  • We hate Gamespot and IGN. Destructoid, though LOVE
  • You've unlocked an argument.
  • Touya is a shameless media whore
  • McDonalds are shameless media whores.
Well. Catch you on the flipside.
